“Waimea Afternoon”
One of those beautiful windswept days in Waimea, which I love as it reminds me of Colorado. Big sky on that part of the island! This road is part of the historic Parker Ranch. I’ve been using these canvases recently, made by Masterpiece Canvas, which follow the ratio for the Golden Rectangle, also known as the Fibonacci Sequence. It’s amazing how easily composition flows with these canvases. “Without mathematics,” after all, “there is no art,” (Luca Pacioli). This ratio has been used by artists since the Renaissance to create composition. This little painting is 12×19”, oil on canvas.
