“Spring Beauties”

I love love love Plumeria! The first scent of plumeria starting to bloom makes me absolutely giddy. I actually purchased a selfie stick so that I could take photos of my neighbors’ plumeria trees, luckily they know the crazy lady on the sidewalk trying to get up and above the blossoms on their trees. It’s a deceptive flower to paint, only 5 petals in a pinwheel pattern, no big deal, right? They’re a very subtle blossom, with pale transparent petals reflecting everything that is around them and bouncing the light in interesting ways. Oil on canvas, 12×12″ $250
